7 Quick Apply Part-time 17 hours ago Full Job Description Patient Care Assistant Northern Cardinal Rehablitation and Nursing Center, a member of Eastern Healthcare Group, is looking for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to provide support and assistance to nursing personnel and assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for residents.

Weekends 7a-3p and 3p-11p, or 7a-7p.
Responsibilities of the Patient Care Assistant (PCA):
Make unoccupied beds.
Clean resident equipment.
Clean residents' personal care and grooming items.
Maintain residents' closets, bedside stands, drawers, and closets in a clean, orderly and odor free manner.
Label clothing and belongings.
Complete admission inventory of clothing and belongings.
Distribute personal laundry.
Monitor and replenish resident care articles.
Answer call lights and provide non-care giving tasks, i.
e.
change TV, open windows, adjust articles within residents' reach, relay requests for actual care assistance to nursing staff, transport residents to meals, activities, care conferences, assist with passing trays in the dining room and to residents who do not require feeding assistance.
Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
Requirements of the Patient Care Assistant (PCA):
High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent related work experience.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
Approachable, flexible and adaptable to change.
Physical and Sensory Requirements of the Patient Care Assistant (PCA):
Moderate physical activity:
Push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of fifty (50) feet.
Standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
Bending and/or stooping for more than one (1) hour at a time.
