Knowledge of Operations Maintenance principles such as data collection, pavement markings, markers and messages, traffic signs and guardrail.

Skill in the use of computers and software applicationsCore ResponsibilitiesRoadway inventory support for traffic assets - support and maintain inventory for signs, pavement markings, pavement markers and guard rail.
Update database monthly.
Transfer data from one data base to another.
Monitor all traffic asset data bases.
Sign installation support.
Conduct field reviews.
Other necessary duties to meet work plan goals.
Any other duties assigned by a Supervisor or Project Manager.
May be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth above to address business needs and changing business practices.

Flexible schedule (relates to a 24/7/365 operating environment)18 years of age or olderDrug screeningRequired VDOT/Industry trainingWork Conditions90-day probation periodSignificant all-season/all-hour operating conditionsMay be subject to short or no-notice work assignmentsWork is primarily outside along interstate highways requiring necessary safety precautions involved in working with electricity in and alongside trafficFast-paced, multi-tasking environment subject to short or no-notice work assignments and exposure to inclement weatherWork environment is informal, both team and autonomy oriented, having routine tasks with variable pace and pressureWeekend, evening, and overtime work may be required.
Standing for prolonged periods of time, walking, lifting, carrying; frequently reaching, kneeling, climbing, bending, twisting, crouching, and balancing can be expectedMonitored performance with routine evaluationHourly Rate $25.

This position is designated as essential and, as such, all duties associated with this job are required during emergency situations which may include but are not limited to inclement weather, disaster response and emergency operations.
