Job Description:
The Pharmacist is responsible for the efficient and effective daily operations of the pharmacy, including accurately preparing dosing and dispensing prescribed medications, supervision of pharmacy technician, maintaining security and ensuring inventory accuracy of all controlled substances.
Maintain all pharmacy reports as required by State and Federal regulations.
Must be able to discuss and or counsel patients relating to their medication regimen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other duties that are assigned.
oOrder and receive all medications from appropriate source and conduct inventory of controlled substances as required by P&P.
Reconcile variances.
Report all variances as required by state and federal regulations.
oAccurately prepare medication doses for patients in levels and dosage amounts as prescribed by Medical Director.
oMaintain high level of physical security in pharmacy at all times (door locked, safe closed and locked, alarmed when closed).
oAnswer patient questions relating to pharmacology issues in a confidential, informative matter.
oEnsure compliance with all State Board of Pharmacy policies.
Maintain all pharmacy permits and licenses as required by State Pharmacy regulation.
oMaintain proper inventory and supplies necessary for pharmacy operations to meet patient needs adequately and professionally.
oWhen on the premises, oversee and review work of pharmacy technician and provide counsel to dosing nurses regarding safe administration of doses.
oEnsure that filing system is kept up to date.
oEnsure that pharmacy dispensing equipment is kept clean and in good operating condition.
Ensure that back-up pump is on site and ready for use.
Monitor accuracy of pump and take unit out of service when pump accuracy falls outside of appropriate limits.
oUtilize appropriate sink for cleaning of pharmacy dispensing equipment.
oMaintain cleanliness and organization of pharmacy and supplies.
Ensure that proper medical waste procedures are in use for any medical waste generated by activities of pharmacist or pharmacy technician.
oEnsure smooth workflow.

Education and/or
Experience:
oThe pharmacist must meet state-defined minimum licensure, education, and experience requirements.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, mean, mode and median ability to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
