Apogee is seeking a Director of Operations located in Suffolk, VA to lead program execution and federal government business development focused on Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) programs with a specialization in advisory and technical assistance services (A&AS) to Government operations, sustainment, and staff support activitiesWhy work with us? o Execute full operational responsibility for multiple programs within Apogee's Mission Support Service Delivery Portfolioo Build, transition, and run high-performing, highly engaged teams of Apogee and subcontractor personnel supporting A&AS projects in DoD and DHS organizationso Plan, organize, and manage comprehensive program resources to successfully execute operational and contract goals and objectives; manage labor and travel funds and milestones for a portfolio of programso Manage, monitor, and meet program and portfolio performance goals; execute portfolio profit and loss responsibilitieso Conduct portfolio and programmatic risk assessments and alert the Apogee corporate leadership and Government officials to potential issues and resource limitations and recommend/implement mitigations and resolutionso Proactively interface with Apogee corporate directors, portfolio program managers, task leads, employees, subcontractors, customers, and contracting authorities to ensure effective and compliant A&AS service deliveryo Coordinate with Apogee's Finance, Contract Management, Human Resources, and Infrastructure teams to execute high-quality A&AS delivery to Government customerso Lead and support hiring management and staff retention initiatives across multiple programs and contractso Manage high-performing teams, ensuring solutions are appropriate and staff wellbeing is regularly assessedo Collaborate with Apogee Human Resources to lead Apogee program managers and task leads in resolving Employee Relations issues in a manner that results in positive outcomes for the employee, the Government customer, and Apogee as an organizationo Provide mentorship and lead career development initiatives for the portfolio staffo Lead Apogee organic business development opportunities within the Mission Support Service Delivery Portfolioo Participate in developing and lead the execution of company growth strategies, particularly within the Mission Support portfolioo Support contract proposals by serving as a subject-matter expert (SME) in the Mission Support portfolio, as well as marshalling and employing other portfolio SMEs in support of company-level projectso Represent Apogee's culture, vision, and mission in all interactions with employees, customers, and partner companieso Implement Apogee's Employee Engagement Program to ensure Apogee's culture, work/life balance, and growth initiatives are implemented across the staff What you will need to have:
o Security Clearance Required:
Top Secret with SCI Eligibilityo Master's degree with 14
years' experience in DoD, federal, and/or multi-national agencies delivering A&AS services focused on operations, sustainment, and staff supporto At least 5 years managing multiple programs in the federal contracting space with demonstrated leadership of large groups of diverse employeeso Possess experience in Air Force capabilities development processes, including studies, analyses, experimentation, planning, programming, force modernization, and acquisitiono Possess experience in contractor and military force managemento Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and Government leaderso Demonstrated ability to conduct rapid issue analysis, build consensus among strong stakeholders, and negotiate positive outcomes for all partieso Expert-level skills in verbal and written communication and a full range of Microsoft 365, data analysis, and project management toolso Ability to travel approximately 25% of the timeo Project Management Professional certification is strongly preferred
Benefits:
o Apogee offers two medical plans, a high deductible health plan with a HRA and a traditional POS plan with co-pays, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, PTO, paid holidays, parental, military and jury duty paid leavesRegular part time employees scheduled for twenty-four or more hours per work week are eligible for benefits on a pro-rated basis.
o This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.
o The base pay for this position ranges from $132,421 to $198,632 across the U.
SThere is a different range applicable for specific work locationsBase pay is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, skills, abilities, training, and education.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
