As Assistant Property Manager, you will be the second in command and the face of the community.

DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Keeps frequent contact with:
residents, owners, contractors, vendors/suppliers, representatives of other businesses Demonstrates and leases apartments/space through use of effective selling techniques, advertising, and market knowledge, while presenting surrounding amenities Collects rents and handles delinquent accounts, under the supervision of the Property Manager through phone, mail, or in person collection Develops thorough knowledge of the apartment community, it's competitors, and the surrounding neighborhood Develops knowledge and maintains property reports and logs that are done at the site level Assists the Property Manager in the development and implementation of promotional programs, including creative advertising, resident retention, and outside marketing Assists Property Manager in planning and carrying out resident events Maintains resident retention programs (renewals, birthday cards, etc.
) Performs other related duties as assigned by management and basic clerical/office duties
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 5 Years management experience or position-applicable experience (bookkeeping/customer service/accounting) or 2 years Property Management experience Some commercial experience preferred Possession of valid Driver's License (expected to run errands such as bank runs) Fair Housing Certified (Artcraft will help this happen if you need to renew or gain certification) Computer skills required:
(Accounting Software, Microsoft Office, Appfolio Experience is a plus) Must be able to walk the property in all types of weather.
(includes walking stairs) Must be able to develop knowledge of property management system and have ongoing training Willingness to complete time sensitive projects after regular hours when necessary The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
