MANGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST

Mission Statement:
The J-6 (C4 & Cyber) represents the Joint Warfighter in support of the command, control, communications, and computers/cyber (C4) requirements validation and capability development processes while ensuring joint interoperability. To further this effort, the J-6 promulgates guidance and provides functional expertise to the Chairman in order to shape the joint information environment. Additionally, as the Joint Staff Chief Information Officer (CIO), the J-6 provides business class Information Technology (IT) services and support to the Chairman and the entire Joint Staff. As a MANGEMENT AND PROGRAM ANALYST at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as a senior analyst and directly assists in leading a team of analysts in the execution of analysis and assessments in support of Joint Fires and Joint Close Air Support (JCAS) capability improvements. Works closely with counterparts representing the Military Services, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Agencies, the Joint Staff, NATO and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD). Leads teams on projects that involve support across the United States including exercises, coordination, meetings and operations to include extensive work with U.S. allies, NATO, and Allied Command Transformation. Assists the Joint Fires / Joint Close Air Support Branch Chief for Digitally Aided Close Air Support (DACAS) development in accordance with JROC direction and oversight from the Joint Fire Support Executive Steering Committee (JFS ESC). Represents the Branch and Division at high level meetings and briefings or Joint Staff/multi-Service/CCMD/Agency conferences where major policy issues and programs are discussed and decisions made. Serves as a team lead of the Joint Fires Support (JFS), Executive Steering Committee (ESC) Joint Close Air Support (JCAS), Standardization Teams. You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following
Qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
1. Applied program management to Joint Fires and Joint Close Air Support (JCAS) capabilities; Command and Control (C2) and situational awareness systems and procedures; common operational and tactical pictures (air, ground, maritime); joint interoperability and integration resources and laws for strategic planning in order to perform senior level functions and provide recommendations for coalition digital messaging systems and the coordinated implementation of Joint Fires Joint Mission thread. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
