Using human resources systems such as Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS) to review and submit personnel actions for recruitments, promotions, awards, and corrections. Using human resources systems such as HRLink to pull reports, review, and analyze personnel data, submitting actions as necessary to ensure accuracy and validity of the data. Applying Human Resources Office (HRO) policies, instructions, directives and federal pay setting laws and regulations to identify discrepancies with civilian pay to ensure compliance. Applying Civilian Full Time Equivalent for Civilians Hires to support management of manpower initiatives. Utilizing Microsoft programs and software to prepare detailed reports and technical materials to present to both specialists and non-specialists on human resources issues. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
