Mission Statement:
Joint Staff J-7, in support of the Chairman, trains, educates, develops, designs and adapts the globally integrated, partnered, joint force to achieve overmatch in the continuum of conflict under conditions of accelerating change in the character of war. As a Modeling & Simulation Event Planner at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Designs and implements Modeling and Simulation (M&S) architectures to support JS J7 Joint and Coalition training exercises up to the U.S. Top Secret level. Ensures that the (M&S) architectures are robust while having the flexibility to be reconfigured quickly to support emergent requirements. Plans and integrates, operation and maintenance of M&S systems and federations of M&S systems in support of multiple annual combatant command and Service Joint training events to include the interface to upper enclave TS/SCI simulations. Develops plan of action and milestones (POA&Ms) for assigned tasks while monitoring progress and provides assistance in any technical issues the administrators and operators might encounter. Provides technical support on configuring model and simulation interfaces with Global Command and Control System - Joint (GCCS-J), Joint Range Extension (JRE), Air Defense System Integrator (ADSI), Agile Client, Joint Deployable Intelligence Information System (JDISS) and Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS. Confers with JS J7 Tech Team planners to ensure M&S systems are available for J7 Joint Training Events and to de-conflict any competing requirements. During exercises, serves as the technical director for the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) and provides management oversight of the military, contractor and governmental matrixed team that establishes and provides reliable M&S systems to the JS J7 training staff and joint, Service and coalition exercise training audiences both in garrison and to deployed austere environments. Manages the M&S systems,equipment, and personnel during the execution phase of JS J7-sponsored exercises. Represents JS J7 in conferences and meetings with the Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, Department of Defense, Services and Agencies involved in joint exercises and contingency support on matters concerning JS J7 involvement. Keeps the Technical Teams Branch Chief and the Environment Operations Division Chief, and other management levels informed by means of briefings, point papers, information papers and staff memorandums. Qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service:
1. Led the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) planning efforts related to joint training exercises. 2. Applied technical knowledge of Modeling and Simulation (M&S) processes to lead in the execution of joint training exercises 3. Designed and/or implemented Modeling and Simulation (M&S) architectures to support joint training exercises. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
