IT CYBERSECUIRTY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC/DATA MANAGEMENT)

Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Qualifying experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. I have information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include defining overall objectives, priorities, and deadlines. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include obtaining and exchanging data with key stakeholders to maintain operational readiness. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include planning and implementing long-range technical strategies to improve information system elements and capabilities. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include addressing the varied nature of programmatic challenges encountered on a daily basis. Series and Grade 2210-09 qualifying experience would be demonstrated by, Applying knowledge in database design and management combined with insights into cybersecurity functions and operations to improve organizational performance and decision-making. Recommending actionable opportunities to refine reports, database designs and administration processes. Assisting with data manipulation to generate metrics and analyses and support activities for information systems. Identifying information systems security requirements and data to include Top Secret Clearance with eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information networks. This position is within the Work Category Professional at Work Level 1- Entry/Development, Series and Grade 2210-09. Series and Grade 2210-07 qualifying experience would be demonstrated by, Applying knowledge to identify cyber threats and vulnerabilities to operations. Assisting with the presentation of updates on data processes to staff related to database utilization. Liaising with internal and external organizations to facilitate in the efficient sharing of cybersecurity data to advance inspection and assessment methods. Maintaining security and integrity of databases in the presence of solicitation and data sharing with external partners that are essential to operations. This position is within the Work Category Professional at Work Level 1- Entry/Development, Series and Grade 2210-07. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
